How to Enroll

Care That Suits Your Family’s Needs

We have two types of childcare positions that families can enrol their child for:

Occasional Positions

Once you have received a confirmation email that your enrolment has been accepted, your child/children are enrolled for that current year.

You are able to utilize the service as often or as little as you like in the year that you are enrolled.

No lock in contract, no minimum or maximum requirements to attend.

Bookings can be made up to two week before the required booking.

Bookings are made over the phone or in person at the service.

Minimum booking time is for two hours. Bookings can be made in hourly increments on the hour (for example 8:00am - 9:00am etc.)

Bookings are for a start and finish time not a period of hours. These time slots are firm, as bookings are made to ensure we maintain our legally required ratio at all times.

Cancellation of bookings can be made by 4pm the day prior to the booking without incurring a fee.

Permanent Positions

Permanent positions are for fixed days. No booking is required.

Fixed daily rate is charged depending on the age of the child.

Fees must be up to date each week.

Permanent positions are offered for a calendar year.

Existing families get preference to roll over their position to the following year.

To obtain a permanent position you must complete a permanent position application which is then approved by the nominated supervisor if a position is available.

Two weeks written notice is required to cancel a permanent position.

If your child is absent you are still required to pays fees for your child's absent day.

If you are going on holidays and provide two weeks written notice, you will not be charged for the absent time. (This is up to a maximum of 3 weeks per calendar year: January - December).

We do not charge for public holidays.

How To Enrol

To get started, we invite you to book a personalised tour where our Nominated Supervisor will guide you through our facilities, explain daily routine, introduce you to our dedicated educators, and gladly address any inquiries you may have.

Booking a tour is as easy as calling us at 9525 9681 to check our availability and make arrangements that suit your schedule.

During your visit, we will share essential insights into our policies and procedures, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of our commitment to your child's well-being. Additionally, we will provide you with a waiting list application to streamline the enrolment process.

Once we can confirm a vacancy for your child, you will receive a link to our Xplor online enrolment form. To secure your child's place, simply complete the questions, and upload a copy of their birth certificate, immunisation history statement*, any relevant medical information/diagnoses, and a declaration expressing your agreement with our policies.

Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email, be charged the annual enrolment fee, and your child will be all set to embark on their journey at Wombat Occasional Child Care.

We look forward to warmly welcoming you and your little one into our Wombat family!

* Please note: We can only accept an Australian Immunisation History statement. If your child has been immunised overseas you will need to have their immunisation transferred to the Australian Immunisation Register before enrolling them at our service. This can be done after visiting your GP.
